The Weekend 10
Curated by Weekendwire Team
We reviewed 270 live deals this week and kept 10.
We went through all 270 live deals this week, and once again the only ones that cleared our bar were hotels. The product feeds are full of listings with a price but no discount — a full-price drone or a $68 legging isn't a deal just because it has a tag on it, so none of them made the cut. What did: ten stays across seven cities, from an $87 apartment-hotel in Dubai to a genuine splurge at Brown's in London. Every rate is real and bookable this weekend. One 'Rome' listing turned out to be a hotel in rural France — that's the kind of thing we throw out so you don't book it by mistake.
No. 1Dubai
From
$86.63
The cheapest verified rate on this week's list — an apartment-hotel in Dubai under $90, which only happens in the August off-season. It's brutal outside; everything you'd actually do is air-conditioned.
No. 2Los Angeles
From
$109.00
A no-frills LA base under $110, walkable to the Walk of Fame and a straight shot to the Metro. You're paying for location and a pool, not luxury — and priced honestly for it.
No. 3London
From
$113.20
Central London under $115 is rare in August — this one's near St Pancras, so you're one Eurostar or Tube ride from most of the city the moment you drop your bags.
No. 4San Francisco
From
$159.00
A downtown SF boutique under $160, walkable to Union Square and the cable cars. The cheaper of two San Francisco picks this week, and the one to take if you want to be in the middle of everything.
No. 5New York
From
$201.69
A Times Square-adjacent boutique from the well-loved Library Hotel Collection, just above $200 — genuinely low for midtown Manhattan on a summer weekend, where comparable rooms routinely clear $300.
No. 6Nashville
From
$227.05
Downtown Nashville within walking distance of Broadway's honky-tonks at $227 — a fair rate in a city where weekend demand usually pushes decent rooms much higher.
No. 7San Francisco
From
$229.00
The step-up SF pick: a nautical-themed Noble House hotel right at Fisherman's Wharf, steps from the Hyde Street Pier and Ghirardelli Square. Worth the extra $70 over Hotel Fusion if you want the waterfront.
No. 8Barcelona
From
$253.38
A design-forward Kimpton in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter with a rooftop pool, at $253. High-season Barcelona at this quality is usually a lot more — August is when the rates finally soften.
No. 9New York
From
$263.20
The flagship of the collection — rooms organized by the Dewey Decimal System, steps from Grand Central and the New York Public Library. A midtown icon at $263 is a genuinely good summer rate.
No. 10London
From
$598.35
The splurge, and we're naming it as one: London's oldest five-star, in Mayfair, at $598. That's a real number for a hotel that routinely runs well past $800 — if you're going to blow the budget once this summer, this is a defensible way to do it.
