Every Friday we publish a fresh set of home deals. Every Sunday night they expire and the slate resets. That weekly cycle keeps us honest — we can't coast on stale picks, and you always know the deals are current.
This week's home finds are below, plus our standing picks from partner merchants we trust.
Bedding & Sleep
Promeed Silk Pillowcases & Bedding
If you've been curious about silk pillowcases but balked at $80-100 from brands like Slip or Brooklinen, Promeed is worth a look. They use 22-momme mulberry silk (the same grade as the luxury brands) at roughly half the price.
Why Silk?
Silk pillowcases reduce friction on hair and skin overnight. Dermatologists recommend them for reducing sleep wrinkles and hair breakage. The key spec to look for is momme weight — 19-22 is the sweet spot for durability and softness.
Best for: Anyone who's wanted to try silk bedding but didn't want to spend $100+ on a pillowcase.
King Koil Air Mattresses
King Koil makes the best air mattresses we've tested for guests. Their raised models have built-in pumps, plush tops, and edge support that actually holds up — a significant step up from the $30 air mattresses that deflate by 3am.
Best for: Anyone who hosts guests and wants a comfortable sleeping solution that doesn't require a dedicated guest room.
Kitchen & Drinkware
Thermacup Heated Mugs
If you're the kind of person whose coffee goes cold while you're working, heated mugs are a genuine quality-of-life upgrade. Thermacup's models maintain your drink at a set temperature for hours and charge wirelessly.
Best for: Remote workers, slow sippers, and anyone who reheats the same cup of coffee three times a day.
Party & Events
Aperturee Photo Backdrops & Party Decor
Planning a birthday party, baby shower, or graduation? Aperturee makes surprisingly high-quality photo backdrops and party decoration sets at prices that undercut party supply stores by 50-70%. The printed backdrops are wrinkle-resistant and reusable.
Best for: Parents planning kids' parties, event hosts, or small business owners who do their own product photography.
What Makes a Good Home Deal
Not all discounts are created equal. Here's what we look for:
- Real pricing history. If the "original price" has never been the actual selling price, it's not a deal.
- Reviews from real buyers. We look for 4+ stars across 50+ reviews. Fewer than that and we can't be confident in quality.
- Return policy. Good brands offer hassle-free returns. If a merchant makes returns difficult, the product doesn't make our list.
- Material specs, not marketing. "Premium quality" means nothing. "22-momme mulberry silk" or "1200 denier nylon" tells you exactly what you're getting.
