Every Friday we drop fresh tech deals. Every Sunday night they're gone. That's how we keep things honest — no stale "sales" that run for months pretending to be limited.
Tech is the hardest category to find genuine deals in. Every retailer runs perpetual "sales," inflates MSRPs, and bundles old inventory with misleading discounts. We cut through all of that. The price has to be genuinely below the 30-day average — not just below some inflated MSRP. The product needs strong reviews from real buyers (4+ stars, 50+ reviews minimum). The brand has to have a real warranty and actual customer support. And we don't let refurbished products sneak in disguised as new.
Headphones & Audio
This is the most common tech deal category and the one with the most fake discounts. Headphone "sales" are notorious for inflated original prices, so we only feature pairs where the discount is real and the product is genuinely worth owning.
Right now you'll want to keep an eye out for noise-canceling over-ears if you commute or fly regularly, true wireless earbuds if you're more of a gym-and-errands person, and portable Bluetooth speakers now that warmer weather is creeping in.
The Headphone Rule
If a pair of headphones has been "on sale" for more than two consecutive weeks, it's not on sale — that's the real price. We check for this before listing anything.

3 activeSmart Home
Smart home devices see the most aggressive discounting in spring (post-CES clearance) and late fall (Black Friday). Right now is a solid window for smart speakers, smart plugs, and security cameras.
Before you buy anything, though, make sure it actually works with your existing setup — whether that's Alexa, Google Home, or Apple HomeKit. It's also worth knowing whether the device runs on Wi-Fi or newer protocols like Zigbee or Thread, which are more reliable but need a hub. And if privacy matters to you (it should), check whether the device processes everything in the cloud or can work locally.

Laptop deals follow a pretty predictable cycle. Right now through May is a good window because back-to-school inventory is arriving and last year's models get marked down to clear shelf space. Black Friday brings the biggest discounts of the year, and January's post-holiday clearance rounds things out.
The Spec That Matters Most
For most people, RAM matters more than processor speed. 16GB RAM is the sweet spot in 2026 — it handles multitasking, video calls, and browser tabs without slowing down. Don't pay extra for 32GB unless you do video editing or run VMs.
How We Source Tech Deals
We pull tech deals from our CJ Affiliate and Rakuten partner networks — verified retailers with real inventory, real pricing, and real return policies. We don't scrape marketplace listings or feature third-party sellers with questionable fulfillment.
Every deal you see on Weekendwire links to an established retailer. If something goes wrong with your purchase, you've got a real company to contact — not a random seller who vanishes after the transaction clears.
