Every Friday we publish fashion and clothing deals that are actually worth buying. Every Sunday night they expire and we start fresh.
Fashion is the category where fake deals are most common — and most shameless. "Originally $120, now $39!" sounds great until you realize the item was never actually sold at $120. We check pricing history before featuring anything, and we're looking for genuine discounts from established brands with quality materials, real return policies (30+ days, no restocking fees), and strong buyer reviews. We skip ultra-fast-fashion brands like Shein, Temu, and Wish entirely because the quality doesn't meet our standards. We also pass on "mystery" discount codes that may not work and flash sales on inventory nobody wanted at full price.
Jewelry and Accessories
If you've read our moissanite vs. diamond guide, you already know BBBGEM. They specialize in moissanite, lab-grown sapphires, and gemstone jewelry set in solid gold and platinum — at prices that make traditional jewelry stores look absurd. Their engagement rings are particularly compelling if you care about the beauty of the stone rather than the name on the box. They also carry gorgeous gemstone pendants and earrings in sapphire, emerald, and alexandrite, plus birthstone pieces that make meaningful, personal gifts without the typical jewelry store markup.
Through our CJ Affiliate partners, we also track deals on watches, handbags, sunglasses, and accessories from brands you'd actually wear. We prioritize genuine craftsmanship over trending labels with inflated pricing — if the deal only looks good because the "original" price was fiction, we skip it.
Clothing Deals
The fashion industry basically invented fake urgency, and it's worth knowing how to see through it. "Compare at" pricing that doesn't name a specific retailer is a red flag. So are countdown timers that reset when you refresh the page, "only 3 left!" warnings on items with unlimited stock, and 80%+ discounts on brands you've never heard of. Those are all signals that the deal isn't real.
What we look for instead: a specific percentage off a named item's actual retail price, a product that exists on the brand's own website at the stated original price, strong reviews on independent platforms (not just the seller's site), and a clear return policy with no restocking fees. When a deal checks those boxes, we feature it. When it doesn't, we move on.
The Outlet Store Trap
Many brands make separate, lower-quality products specifically for their outlet stores. A "Calvin Klein" shirt from the outlet isn't the same quality as one from the mainline store. Same logo, different materials, different construction. Our deals link to mainline products, not outlet-specific inventory.
The Seasonal Buying Calendar
Knowing when to buy saves more money than any individual coupon ever will. January is the time for winter coats, boots, and sweaters during post-holiday clearance. April and May bring deals on spring transition pieces and suits as retailers push pre-summer inventory. July is when summer clothing, sandals, and swimwear start hitting mid-season clearance. September marks the end-of-season liquidation for summer gear plus back-to-school deals. And November, of course, is Black Friday — the annual peak for discounts across the board.
Right now in April-May, the best deals are on spring transition pieces: lightweight jackets, casual shoes, and versatile items that'll work from now through early fall. Those are the pieces we're watching most closely this weekend.
Quality Over Quantity
We'd rather feature a few genuinely good fashion deals than fifty mediocre ones. That's the whole Weekendwire approach — a small curated set per category, not a fire hose of everything that's technically "on sale."
If you don't see many fashion deals on a given weekend, that just means we didn't find enough that met our quality bar. We'd rather have an empty section than feature products we don't believe in.
